Dana has worked in 40+ developing countries, covering Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. She has a Master's Degree - International Labour Studies & Women in Development from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague. Her professional work has been recognized with the 2000 CIDA Canadian International Development Award for Gender Equality Achievement and the 2008 International Alliance of Women inaugural Making a Difference 100 Award in recognition of her contributions to women's economic empowerment. She speaks English and Spanish fluently and has a good working knowledge of French and bahasa Indonesia.

Her education includes a Masters in International Business Administration from the United States International University (San Diego) and is currently working on an M.A. Adult Education/Women Studies from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education, University of Toronto and was recognized by the “2005 Humber International Development Award” upon completion of a certificate in International Project Management.

With 30 years experience, Carole has been associated with Kartini International for 11 years. She has extensive experience in the Caribbean, Ukraine, East Africa and South Asia, speaks English, and has a working knowledge of French. Her formal studies include a B.A. Economics and Political Science and an M.A. Economics and Political Science (Development Studies) from the University of Toronto. She has recently completed a Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution at York University.

Neena has an M.A. Political Science from York University, plus a C.M.A. (Level 3) Society of Management Accountants, Toronto, Canada. She is a passionate film buff and speaks English, Urdu, Hindi and Swahili.

With 15 years of experience, Nadine has worked extensively in Latin America and the Caribbean with additional experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, South-East Asia and the Maghreb. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish, with basic Portuguese, has been based in Nicaragua for the past 12 years and has been associated with Kartini for 10 years. Nadine has a Ph.D. (ABD) in Political Science from York University as well as a wicked sense of humour.

With 26 years experience as a consultant, Raymond has worked in and on Africa for 41 years. He has been associated with Kartini since 2004.
Raymond has worked in 22 countries in Africa, as well as in Indonesia, the Philippines, Morocco, Tunisia, Barbados, Haiti, and Jamaica. He has worked on over 20 evaluations, including 8 as Team Leader. His education includes a Phd. in Historical Demography from the Université de Paris, a Masters in Economic History, Birmingham University, and a MSc in Demography from Université de Montréal. Raymond is also a gourmet cook and has a passionate interest in history. He is fluent in French and English.

Hope has 28 years of experience working in developing and post conflict countries, complemented by a Master’s in Development Studies from the University of Illinois and an Honours B.A. in Sociology and Social Administration from Makerere University, Uganda. She has worked extensively throughout Africa, Asia and the Caribbean, with diverse organizations such as UNIDO, the Ministry of Women's Affairs in Zimbabwe, DANIDA and UNDP. She is the former Chair of the Global Fund for Women based in the USA, Advisor to African Women Development Fund: based in Accra and the current chair of the Urgent Action Fund-Africa-based in Nairobi. Hope is also a specialist in movement building, social marketing and women’s leadership and participation.

With 15 years of experience, Laurie has worked extensively in South Asia and has additional experience in Eastern Europe, South East Asia and Ghana. She places a focus on participatory methods and training approaches and has worked with NGOS, CBOs, academic institutions and the private sector, as well as Canadian and partner governments, multilateral institutions and bilateral donors. Her education includes a Masters of Arts Qualifying Year in International Relations, and a B.A. in English from Concordia University. Laurie has been a Kartini International associate since 2003.

Ann Peel has 25 years experience working in Eastern Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and Africa. Her education includes a B.A. Hon in addition to studies in Journalism at Ryerson University and a Law degree (LL.B) from the University of Toronto. Ann is also a distinguished athlete who represented Canada in the Pan American Games and World Championships. She won several medals in track and field, claimed world record titles, and founded the Canadian Athletes Association (now Athletes CAN). Her expansive career includes many years of legal practice in the city of Toronto with a focus on innovative work in the nonprofit sector, education, and corporate responsibility.

Awny Amer Morsy has 23 years of experience with considerable expertise in Monitoring and Evaluation. He has worked in Egypt and Jordan and is fluent in Arabic and English. Wendy Peebles has 30 years experience working with adolescents and youth. She has worked in Vietnam, Mexico, Costa Rica and Canada, with a particular focus on at-risk youth in educational settings and youth-led initiatives. Her education includes a Masters of Social Work, Integrated Program with Specialization in Community, Policy, Planning and Organization from Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada. She was honoured with the Positive Community Impact Award, Outstanding Female Professional Student Services Personnel, Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation, District 12, 2003.

Linda has over 25 years of experience in gender equality and women's rights. Her geographic focus includes China, East, South and Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Linda has an MA in Urban/Economic Geography from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Economic Geography from the University of British Columbia. She has outstanding socio-economic research and gender analysis skills and has conducted over 100 sectoral, country-program and project gender assessments and analyses for donors, NGOs and private sector firms. She has served as Gender Advisor to three CIDA country programs: China (12 years); Pakistan (2 years); and Ukraine (ongoing).
